Woooo new layout

Posted by Bernadet

I just quickly made a new layout for the website, since I couldn`t handle seeing it looking so dull. This one isn`t done yet, it looks way too boring right now.. but I`m not entirely sure how to improve it yet so it may stay like this for a few days. I think I`ll have to toss some more colours in but I don`t know which colours would go with the current ones. Any ideas??

This theme has been inspired by Vampire Diaries, since I just started reading the books. The books are WAY different from the series, yet they`re just as interesting..I`d definitely recommend them!

The New Vampire`s Handbook

Posted by Bernadet

I`m currently reading the New Vampire`s Handbook, which is a book I`d recommend to anyone since it`s made of hilarious. Here`s a short summary:

“Being turned into a vampire is the easy part.
Actually becoming a vampire is far more difficult.

In today’s world of vampire-obsessed pop culture, misinformation abounds. A newly turned vampire who looks to movies and novels for answers to everlasting life’s questions will inevitably be reduced to a smoldering pile of dust. So whom can you, a neophyte immortal, trust to provide reliable information and proven strategies for leading your best and bloodiest existence? The Vampire Miles Proctor, editor of The New Vampire’s Handbook. In this definitive guide, the newly turned will find

• a head-to-toe look at your vampiric body: how to harness your new powers to dispatch mortal enemies, maintain your fangs, and embrace your vampirosexuality
• methods for luring prey, faking your way through meals, approaching other vampires, and creating a four-hundred-year financial plan
• tips on acting your “age,” behaving appropriately if you see a human you knew decades ago, and dealing with epic vampire feuds
• essential advice for blending in with the masses, from finding a coven to avoiding the media (and mirrors) to staying on top of the latest fashion trends
• the joy of scrapbooking”

The book explains everything us new vampire`s need to know, from how to eat to why we compulsively count spilled seeds or grain (we do because the most successful vampires used to count seeds to prevent getting bored and doing stupid things…so now evolution has caused all vampires to be obliged to count seeds when they seem them…obviously).
